Catherines Cathedral was formed by M. Valley, S. Morgana and D. Hansevi in 1992. They had classic goth attributes: hats, ponchos, drum machine, 12-string electrics, etc. The lyrics had elements of goth litterature and poetry inspired by Poe and Lovecraft. They sang about religious doubts and romanticized drugs. They were more goth than goth, but had a clear and simple sound .
